As a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor in Texas since 2009, I’m dedicated to supporting clients on their journeys of personal growth and healing. I’m also a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, trained in EMDR and Emotionally Focused Therapy, and I work with individuals of all ages—children, teens, adults, couples, and families. My passion lies in helping clients navigate the challenges of trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and relationship changes, empowering them to find resilience and strength.
On a personal note, I’m married to a wonderful husband and am a proud parent of five amazing children. My family is my joy, and I cherish spending time with them, being creative, playing sports, and enjoying the beach. Having overcome my own trauma and significant life changes, including a life-threatening illness, I understand the complexities of healing. I invite you to take this courageous step with me; together, we can create a warm and supportive therapeutic relationship that fosters your growth and resilience. Let’s embark on this journey toward healing and transformation together!
As a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor and a parent of five, I know firsthand the challenges children and adolescents face, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and more. In my child therapy services for ages 2+, I focus on helping kids navigate these emotional and behavioral issues while building skills and resilience. I also offer guidance to parents so they may effectively support their child's needs and treatment goals. Visit www.A4PT.org for more information about play therapy for your child.
I offer parent support services to help you navigate the ups and downs of parenthood. Drawing on my experience, I provide practical strategies to address challenges and strengthen your relationship with your child. Together, we’ll tackle common concerns like improving behavior, enhancing social skills, managing emotions, coping with transitions, and building self-esteem, creating a positive path forward for your family.
I offer couples therapy to help improve communication, build intimacy, and strengthen relationships. Utilizing evidence-based approaches like Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method, both backed by extensive research, I focus on common issues such as resolving conflicts, enhancing emotional connection, navigating life transitions, rebuilding trust, and improving sexual intimacy. Together, we’ll explore your concerns and develop effective strategies to achieve your relationship goals.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a proven therapy for trauma, especially effective for PTSD. It often requires fewer sessions compared to traditional talk therapy. I’m trained to provide EMDR for both children and adults, helping clients process traumatic memories and achieve lasting emotional healing. Visit www.EMDRIA.org for more information and research about EMDR and how it is helping children and adults for a variety of issues, like overcoming the effects of abuse, PTSD and traumatic losses, divorce, addiction, and faulty thinking patterns that lead to significant problems in relationships and life.
In my therapy practice, I incorporate a client's faith as an integral part of the healing process. Recognizing the importance of spiritual beliefs, I draw from research that shows faith-based therapy can enhance counseling outcomes, improving overall well-being and resilience. By integrating spiritual principles and practices, I help clients find deeper meaning and support in their struggles, allowing them to align their therapeutic journey with their values. This holistic approach not only fosters emotional healing but also strengthens their connection to their faith, ultimately leading to more fulfilling and lasting change.
I also offer counseling specifically for survivors of chronic and life-threatening illnesses and their caregivers, drawing from my professional experience and expertise in trauma and loss. My extensive training in trauma-based counseling equips me to address the unique challenges these individuals face. Having navigated my own journey through a life-threatening illness , trauma, and significant personal changes, I bring a deep understanding and empathy to our work together. I am committed to helping clients find strength and resilience as they cope with their experiences and support their loved ones.
I provide clinical supervision for Master's level interns, provisionally licensed counselors, and aspiring play therapists in Texas. My approach focuses on professional development, ethical practice, and real-world challenges, helping you build confidence in your skills. If you’re interested in developing a supportive supervisory relationship, I invite you to schedule a time to chat about how we can work together. Please inquire at the Home page.
